Five Star Knife, Sheath Could Be Improved. : SOG Specialty Knives & Tools S10P-K Tech Bowie, Satin
The knife itself is beautiful and fits snugly in my grip. The balance point is just behind the tips of the hand guard which made for a well handling knife. The Kydex sheath, however, rides high on the belt if worn on the hip, which made for awkward deployment at times; due to the long blade, pulling it out in less than optimal position could be tricky. And if you're wearing packs and other equipment, it might be impossible to draw from the hip. If the belt clip allowed the knife to be worn lower, it would be easier to deploy. Another correction to the sheath would be to redesign it for easier attachment to molle vest and packs. I found the exquisite placement for the knife is upside down, opposite my dominant hand; a sheath designed for such attachment would make this knife/sheath aggregate perfect!
